Please find attached the announcement of the third in a series of lectures jointly organized by the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) and United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). The Geneva Lecture Series was inaugurated in April 2008 by Mr. Ban Ki-moon, UN Secretary-General.
This Edition will feature Mr. Mikhail Gorbachev, Former President of the Soviet Union and Founding President of Green Cross International. The lecture will be entitled "Resetting the Nuclear Disarmament Agenda".
The 3rd Lecture will take place on 5 October 2009 from 4.00 p.m. to 6.20 p.m. at the Palais des Nations (Assembly Hall). UNOG and UNITAR are pleased to invite the general public from Geneva and beyond to take part in an open debate. The lecture will be preceded by an introductory statement by UN Secretary- General, Mr. Ban Ki-moon.
Please register online at http://www.unog.ch/gls, as the number of seats is limited. The registration is obligatory and will be closed when the number of seats available is filled and at the latest on 30 September 2009.
