Welcome future participants!

We have the pleasure of informing you that the dates of the 11th annual conference are the 13th - 19th March 2010.

The registration for the 2010 conference is officially open. The registration period concerns those wishing to participate as delegates or journalists.

As for the delegates and journalists, they can choose between six councils:

  •             Security Council (SC)
  •             Human Rights Council (HRC)
  •             Economic and Social Council (EcoSoc)
  •             General Assembly First Committee – Disarmament and International Security (DISec)
  •             General Assembly Second Committee – Economic and Financial (EcoFin)
  •             United Nations Peace Building Commission (UNPBC)

The registration period is divided into waves: The first and second wave are officially closed. But as there are several positions left we have the pleasure to inform you that the third and final wave is officially open.

It does not matter at which point of time during a wave you apply.

How to register:

To be able to access the registration form, a GIMUN account has to be set up on our website. For organizational reasons, we kindly ask you to use your full name as your username. Once you have set up your account, you can find the registration form here in the participation section ("Register Now")

Pleas be aware that the selection process is highly competitive. Take your time to carefully work on your application to increase your chances of being selected.

Before you start registering please attentively read the following:

  • GIMUN is a University level MUN. We do not accept high school applications. You must be above 18.
  • Your participation is mandatory for the whole week.
  • You must have a very strong knowledge of at least English or French, because those are the only languages of our conference.

  • Please note that it is not possible to represent your own country during the conference.

In the "2010 MUN Conference" section of our website we have provided you with valuable information about the week you stay with us in Geneva. It should also help you make your choices for the conference.

We urge you to gather information about the conference and the different committees on our website before you go ahead and register.

For further questions, please refer to our FAQ-section to the website in general or send us an e-mail!

If you register to our "GIMUN Newsletter" you will automatically be informed about interesting events and the latest development regarding the conference.

We are looking forward to receive your application and to welcome you in Geneva!

Sincerely,
