The 10th Annual GIMUN Conference drew to a close after a week of strenuous hours, ardent debate, considerate compromises, unlimited commitment and fervour from both participants and staff. The committees treated an entire gamut of subjects: ranging from issues related to peace and security, the world economic system and human rights, to the environment, international law and history; bringing together keen youthful minds of all backgrounds and cultures. read more …
One week, of work, exhaustion, resolutions, celebrations and numerous new acquaintances. In this brief an intensive review of the week has been made. Despite being an unfavourable year for fundraising, 200 students from the four corners of the world came together to discuss and debate in the very heart of the UN - Palais des Nations, with great and sustained weather.
We also had the opportunity to invite speakers of a high calibre who shared their expertise and experience on the different topics addressed. The participants were greatly appreciative and highly moved. read more …

The first meeting point on Saturday is the graduate institute IHEID. Directions from the airport to the IHEID: Take the train to the Geneva main railway station; take bus number 1 and get off at "Sécheron". The IHEID is right next to the bus stop. (See map)
You are to arrive at IHEID (room AJF) between 11:00 to 14:00. Try to be rather early than late so that there won't be any delay.
Lunch will be provided at the IHEID.
Note that for this first meeting, the dress code is formal.
If your accommodation doesn't include a Geneva transport card, we advise you to buy a weekly public transportation ticket upon arrival. You can buy it at the airport or at the main railway station for CHF 23 (price for less than 25 years).
Before you leave your home country, don't forget to bring a speciality to eat or to drink or even some music or clothing from your home country for the International Lounge on Sunday night.
