I was born in 1989 and raised in Geneva, a city that naturally fed my interest for international relations. I am currently a third year Political Science student at the University of Geneva and I hope to pursue a Master's degree in the USA. I discovered GIMUN at its annual conference in 2010, where I represented Georgia in the Peace Building Commission. I then spent an incredible year between 2010 and 2011 working for the NGO itself. Having taken part in the organisation of Youth Perspectives and most of the GIMUN events during the year, as secretary of the ECOSOC committee at the annual conference amongst other roles, I carry the desire to continue to promote GIMUN's mission in the line of my predecessors. GIMUN offers a unique perspective on international relations and human relations in general, through its annual conference and thanks to our Special Consultative Status with the UN ECOSOC. GIMUN perfectly combines fun and seriousness! Contact: nicolas.vetterli@gimun.org / president@gimun.org |

I am originally from Guinea but was born and raised in the Kingdom of Morocco, and completed all of my pre-university education at the French mission. A combination of having basked in a multicultural environment and my passion for learning new languagues logically drove me to pursue my studies in International Relations at the University of Geneva, a beautiful city reputed for its cosmopolitism. I am a Tanzanian third year law student at the University of Geneva. Born and raised in Geneva, I have constantly been surrounded by a multitude of cultures, backgrounds and opportunities that have fed my zeal for international affairs and human rights. I have participated in numerous MUN conferences all over Europe. Aside from being a huge MUN Nerd, I am a dedicated singer-songwriter who loves travelling, the arts and meeting new people. I am therefore delighted to be on the GIMUN Board of Directors as Public Relations Director this year. I am a firm believer in GIMUN's ability to reach out to youth, give them possibilites to contribute to international affairs and make them feel like they, too, can make a difference in the world. Besides my studies in Comparative Linguistics of the Romance Languages and Political Science at the University of Zürich, I have been involved in the MUN World for 4 years. I started by participating in international conferences as a delegate or chairperson, but very quickly wanted to invest myself even more. I therefore became an Executive Board member of MUN Team Zürich and the Swiss Association for thw United Nations. I also became President of the JUNES-UN Youth Association Switzerland. It is promordial for me to link the GIMUN 2012 Annual Conference to the reality of the United Nations, and I hope that the various experiences that I have acquired over the years will enable me to organise a stimulating and captivating annual conference. I was born and grew up in a small town in the north of Italy and I've always been interested in foreign languages, cultural and linguistic diversity. Therefore, I started in 2007 my bachelor studies in multilingual communication at the ETI of the University of Geneva. Since September 2010, I am completing my Masters in Specialized Translation in the fields of Economics and Law. During my second year in Geneva, I discovered GIMUN, where I acted during two years as the secretary for the UN Peacebuilding Commission and for the United Nations Environment Program, and then as Chief of Staff. Every annual conference has been a very rewarding experiences for my universitary studies as well as for my personal development, but also an occasion to learn new things and to make new friends. This year, as Secretary General, I hope to organize a conference that will provide you with unforgettable moments.
