Assistants to the President
Alain Eicher:
Born and raised in the picturesque city of Basel, where he graduated with a major in Latin from one of the oldest schools in Switzerland, the 21 year-old left to explore new horizons and is currently completing a degree in international relations at the University of Geneva.
Thanks to his parents profession, he has had the opportunity to travel abroad to distant countries, coming into contact with foreign cultures and meeting people from all over the world. These encounters have made him a cosmopolitan and open-minded person and have encouraged an interest in further international exchanges.
Following his first MUN experience in Milan last year, he realized that this type of simulation would be a good platform for meeting many people and a chance to acquire skills in his field of interest, which are not readily available in a school setting.
As Assistant to the President he will
- promoting the idea of GIMUN and the 2008 Conference
- support Kaspar Paur at important meetings
Christoph Spicher:
Grown up in a tiny town near Bern, Christoph Spicher found the way to the University of Geneva after an exchange year in Barcelona and working experience as a waiter in Zermatt. He has chosen to study International Relations convinced that today’s problems only can be solved with an approach from different points of view. With his openness he quickly gets in touch with many people, so also at his first day at university when he met the Secretary General of GIMUN 07. This was at the very beginning of his MUN-addiction… Until now he has participated in GIMUN 07 and in TEIMUN 07.
As Assistant to the President and responsible JUNES he will
- be the right hand of Kaspar Paur and support him wherever he can
- manage all duties concerning JUNES
Simon Eichholzer
Simon M. Eichholzer grew up in Winterthur. He finished a bank apprenticeship and graduated with a Professional Maturity of Commercial Type. The contact with customers from the Bank and co-workers enhanced him to accumulate useful experiences.
During this time his interests for international affaires and politics awoke. After working almost two years on the bank, he was looking for a new challenge and started studying International Relations at the University of Geneva in 2006.
His first MUN-participation in Milan in 2007 motivated him to get involved in the organisation of the GIMUN association.
