GIMUN is a not for profit association, which essentially funded by the donations from public and private institutions which can be raised during the year preceding the GIMUN conference, which is taking up most of the association’s resources. The preparation of this annual event is in the hands of a group of students, working for GIMUN on voluntary bases, besides their studies. Up to the present, the whole of the resources has been allocated to the annual conference, an eight-day simulation of the United Nations, a fact changing by now, since the GIMUN has been granted the special consultative status within the ECOSOC. The GIMUN will therefore organise events during the year to promote not only the conference, but also the association, the NGO.
