TRANSLATION TEAM MEMBER 

  • Department Name: Translation

  • Time Commitment: 1-3 hours/week

  • Important Note: As a student association, all roles within GIMUN are unpaid volunteer positions.

Role Description

  • As a Translation Member of the Translation Team you are expected to ensure the timely and accurate translation of GIMUN’s website, newsletters and official communications in English, French and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate the official GIMUN website in English, French and Spanish, 

  • Translate the monthly GIMUN newsletters in English and French.

  • Translate official communications in English and French.

  • Follow clear translation rules of procedure and quality standards for all documents.

Candidate Profile & Outcomes

  • Proficiency in at least two of GIMUN's key working languages (English, French, Spanish) is essential.

  • Strong written communication and grammatical accuracy.

  • Efficient team-work and communication skills.

  • Interest in gaining practical experience in document translation and working in a multicultural environment.

  • Motivation to contribute to GIMUN's mission and uphold linguistic standards.

  • Prior experience in translation or linguistic studies is an asset, but not mandatory.
