The Committee Chairs moderate the debates within the committees and assure the high academic quality of the committee sessions. They write the study guide and are reviewing the position papers of the delegates.

Hi, my name is Rouguiatou, I’m 19 and I am Senegalese but I am currently living in Geneva. I am currently studying International Relations, majoring in Political Sciences at the University of Geneva. I have had a lot of MUN experiences in different countries like the MFGNU, Harvard WorldMUN, but also the GIMUN last year. I have a lot of passions including meeting new people, discovering new cultures, travelling, languages, music, movies, etc.

I know Chloe and I are expecting a lot of beginners to our committee this year, but we are looking forward to meeting you and hope the delegates will have a lot of fun, and the most important thing: learn a lot.

My name is Anna Golikova and I am studying International Relations at Moscow State University. I also studied Law at the University of Valencia. My main research interest is cybersecurity, its legal aspects and programming. I advocate for the protection of women's rights, and I have a project dedicated to the development of mentoring. I worked as a fundraiser consultant in non-profit organisations in Tanzania and Uganda. I love learning new languages and I speak English, Russian, French, Spanish, Italian and German. I believe the MUN movement can change the world, introduce new ideas and find solutions to long-standing problems.

My name is William Tinaugus. I am currently in the third year of a double degree in law / political science and philosophy at the  Catholic University of  Paris.. My first experience with Model United Nations was during my first year, when I participated in the Model United Nations of Rey Juan Carlos University and the Paris International Model United Nations conferences in 2019 and fell in love with it. Since then, I’ve wanted to share my experience with as many people as possible. Now, I train students in UN debates in my university association.

Dear honourable delegates,

I am Airish from the Philippines, a host, advocate and youth leader promoting gender equality and the importance of mental health. I am also a MUN enthusiast who has won several awards in my MUN journey and have chaired several conferences across the world. For over 3 years, I have been advocating for youth empowerment and have created several initiatives like free tutorial classes for youth who can’t afford to go to school. Aside from that, I am part of Kabataang Lingkod Bayan, a national network of Young Public Servants in the Philippines; the Marketing Head at the University of the Philippines Circle of Entrepreneurs; and Public Relations Officer at the University of the Philippines Diliman Architecture Student Council. Mainly, I want to inspire young people so that they have the capability to make great and real change in their society. As what I always believe in, my advice to all the aspirants is, “The first is always the hardest, but literally worth it!”

Greetings! My name is Salwa and I’m currently in my final year of my law degree at the University of Indonesia. My MUN journey began in 2019 and since then I have won several awards and gained chairing experience. Throughout my experience, MUN has taught me so many things and has strengthened both my hard and soft skills. I have no doubt at all that MUN is an excellent learning experience for us young people. This will be my first international chairing experience and I’m so excited to join Sakina Juzar and Adah as a board of dais team for the UNICEF Council.

I’m so looking forward to getting to know, and meet you (virtually) soon. See you at the conference!

My name is Charvi Duggal. I live in Delhi, India. I have been to over 100 MUNs, including both International and National Model United Nations conferences, and aim to use my platform to advocate for world issues. I am a 4th-year law student from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Management Studies (Department of Law). I have worked as an intern advocating for women’s rights at Amnesty International as well as interning at J. Sagar Associates (India’s top law firm). My work on Access to Justice and the United Nations has been published in Thomson Reuters. I am also the founder and Secretary-General of Indépendante International, which works to bring international legal aid to people across the globe and ensure they have easy access to justice. I have been in the MUN circuit for more than 10 years. I am enthusiastically looking forward to a fruitful debate and am ready to pass some of my learning experiences on to the delegates.

Hello! I’m Srilakshmi Chidambaram, an 18 year old university student from the United Kingdom currently studying in the Philippines. I will be finishing my pre-medical degree and starting my MD at the Jonelta School of Medicine, UPHSD Manila a little later this year. I started MUN in 7th grade in the UK and have since participated and chaired in around 45 conferences at both the regional and international level. I have a soft spot for committees with scientific agendas, especially in areas of public health and environmental policy.

I'm also an aviation geek, a geography nerd and very passionate about occupational hazards and disaster management. I enjoy reading political theory and prehistory in my free time, but nothing can make me happier than reruns of old British comedy and a giant bucket of popcorn. I look forward to meeting my delegates in WHO and hope this conference will be an amazing experience for you all!

Vaidehi Meharia is a student of Politics and International Studies from Kolkata, India. With an experience of almost 40 Model UN Conferences as a delegate and as a Chairperson, she hopes to welcome you to a conference where you can learn and enhance your public speaking skills, polish your diplomatic courtesy and, of course, make new friends! She is currently interning with an Online Journal and a Nonprofit that works with the United Nations and also holds a variety of Editorial positions in her University and otherwise. Her passion for International Relations and Diplomacy is evident from her vast Model UN experience and her unwavering work ethic. Through the conference, and the crisis committee especially, she hopes to balance the pressures of conducting an online Conference and ensuring that delegates have an enriching experience!

This is my first participation in the Annual Conference, but I have been part of the association since last September as a Delegate. My name is Apostolos, I come from Greece and I am an undergraduate Computer Science student. My MUN journey has given me the chance to come across incredible individuals from different cultural backgrounds, foster wholehearted friendships and explore sides of my personality that would not have otherwise surfaced. For polyphony to be ensured, I firmly believe that politics, policy making and human rights advocacy are domains that must consist of people from diverse fields of studies, each of them providing the everlasting dialogue with a different point of view.

I am Alexandra Cyprès from Russia. I study International Relations and Regional Studies at Sorbonne University, in Paris, and at St. Petersburg University, in Russia. After participating, organizing, and chairing, in various Model United Nations and Sustainable Development Goal forums, I would like to share my experience with the participants of this year’s incredible Geneva Model United Nations. I organize the work of the committees and train students in the largest Model United Nations in Eastern Europe—the Churkin Moscow International Model United Nations (C-MIMUN). The Model United Nations has become my passion and I want to light that fire in your eye to make this world a better place together.

Hello! My name is Adah, I’m 19 years old and I’m currently studying Psychology at Heriot-Watt University Dubai. I'm Indian, but I was born and raised in Dubai. I love reading, badminton, true crime and all things Harry Potter! I’ve always loved MUN, though I formally got into it two years ago. It has been an amazing journey so far!  I attended GIMUN last year as a delegate and I am delighted to be a part of it once again, as a chairperson for UNICEF. Hey all,i’s me, Pumudika Amarasekara from the pearl of the Indian Ocean, Sri Lanka. I currently work as the Deputy Group management Accountant at one of the Leading Private Hospitals in the heart of Colombo City. I’m a CGMA, ACMA by profession and hold a first-class honours degree in business management from the University of Wales, United Kingdom, and a master’s degree with a distinction in business analytics from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, United Kingdom. I always believe that you should not love what you do, but rather you should do what you love. That way, there is no need for extra motivation since you already have it. My hobby is travel, and thus MUNs give me the perfect opportunity to see the beauty of Mother Nature. I live by the quote, “Magic happens when you do not give up, even though you want to. The universe will always fall in love with a stubborn heart,” which has proved to be true over the years.
